For the 2021/22 season the club will play in the Midlands League Premier Division for the first time; the highest league in our history.
A club known as Lichfield City played for two seasons in the Birmingham Combination League in the 1920’s before fading. Another club bearing the name was established in 1970, initially competing as Lichfield Football Club. That club was renamed Lichfield City in 1994 but later folded.
The present iteration of the club began its life as junior side Beacon Park before a Lichfield City senior side was reborn in 2008, competing in the Midland Combination. The Combination subsequently merged with the Midland Alliance in 2014, forming the Midland League as it stands today.
Lichfield City play home games at the Trade Tyre Community Stadium on Brownsfield Road, Lichfield.
As well as the busy first-team schedule, the artificial pitch is also well-used by the club’s thriving junior section, Academy and Ladies Teams
