After last week’s postponement against Rocester, Lichfield City looked to apply pressure on runaway leaders Leicester Road. After a lengthy break from football, Lichfield will be looking to end the year on a high an boost their own promotion hopes.

These hopes were soon dented as the away side took an early lead through Nathaniel McKenzie’s second minute strike.

The Paget attacker soon doubled the away sides lead in the 49th minute, as they looked to wrap up the three points. It was one-way traffic at this stage for the visitors as McKenzie soon netted his hat-trick two minutes later.

Lichfield began to show some life soon after, as Ryan Slin’s header found Kienan Palmer at the back post to finish. Lichfield pulled another one back minutes later, but Max Black’s penalty was too little too late as Paget Rangers win the game 3-2.
