Lichfield City picked up a deserved point away at table-toppers Leicester Road.
The home side stamped their authority on this game in early stages with a few testing efforts, with one coming back off the City post.
Lichfield struggled to get any real attack going in the opening half, with Jordan Hunt firing from distance only to see the effort comfortably saved.
Five minutes in to the second half Lichfield took the lead after Hunt’s whipped free kick was headed home by Keiren Nelson, giving the keeper no chance.
The away side could have extended their lead if it wasn’t for some smart keeping from Adam Jenkins, who denied Brad Rolston on a couple of occasions.
Seven minutes from time Leicester Road got the equaliser when Nuno Gomes found some space and struck his effort in to the far corner of the net.
The point keeps Leicester Road at the top of the league, with Lichfield City in fourth still hoping to close the gap with the leaders.
