After a close affair away to Rocester, Lichfield will feel they deserved at least a point.
The lads will be looking to get back to winning ways as they return to the City Ground to host Uttoxeter Town.
The tie is set up to be a thriller with the two sides separated by just the two points in fourth and fifth. Lichfield will be looking to leapfrog the away side, but this could be short-lived with Uttoxeter having four games in hand.
Uttoxeter come here a side in form, which has been the case for the majority of the season.
“They are a well-organised side with both pace and creativity going forwards so we will definitely have to be at our best”, said Lichfield manager Jamie Hawkins.
Hawkins will be hoping for a resilient performance from his men who have struggled to pick up points in the last six games, despite some strong performances.
Hawkins added: “Even in Tuesday evening’s defeat at Rocester I felt we played well enough and created enough positive moments to have won the game.”
But Hawkins and his players felt equally as frustrated to concede two set piece goals.
Lichfield will be looking for a positive result with the business end of the season approaching. Saturday sees the first game of a run of home fixtures so the lads will be looking to get on the front foot and start a good run.
